A Knight In Shining Armor

There is nothing quite like a good love story! So from time to time I will send one your way.  Today I am featuring Natalie and Matt, I asked Natalie if she would share her story and she was more than happy to do so. Enjoy!

I first saw Matt in June of 2010 and thought he was a dreamboat! We ran into each other later that same night, this time to be introduced by a mutual friend. He seemed like a cool guy, kind of shy (not actually true at all), but I was too nervous to strike up much conversation. When I returned home from the East coast a couple of months later, we started hanging out in the same circle of friends. I had a HUGE crush on him from the start…and he knew it! Still, we both dated around and still found time to flirt with each other.

Our first date took place on March 12, 2011; he asked me to dinner and so, having just finished two hot dogs, I told him I was hungry and would love to go! By the end up of the night,we were snuggled close and, to our surprise, had our first kiss. Three weeks later, we were watching a movie when I looked over at him and thought, “I think I’m going to marry Matt.” And I was completely ok with that, to say the very least!

On a piping hot summer day-August 12, 2011 to be exact- I walked outside of my house to find a knight in shining armor on horseback. Matt had attempted to ride his trusty steed up to my door but the horse could sense how nervous he was, so it stopped in the middle of the street!

He climbed off, got down on one knee, and said, “Princess Natalie- will you marry me?” Needless to say, I was elated and of course said “Yes!!” And as excited as I was then, it truly was only a glimpse of the pure happiness we have felt since we sealed the deal on November 18th. He is even better than a knight in shining armor- he is my Mattie, my husband, and my everything.

Their wedding was beautiful!

What do women want? Shoes!

It's all about the bride!
The dress, the hair, the veil, and of
 course, the SHOES!

Vintage wedding shoes are a v
ery big trend at the moment. They come in many different shapes and sizes and are styled from the past, inspired by Marilyn Monroe. Vintage wedding shoes can come in low, mid and high heeled shoes and they also come with a variety of accessories like sparkly shoe clips to make them that much more elegant.

good idea: each girl has a solid color bouquet with matching shoes and the brides bouquet is a mix of them all

Having blue shoes could be your something blue for your special day, it could even bring out your wild side.

Enchanting Children’s Party

I don’t know if it’s because of my adorable new granddaughter, but when I saw this photo shoot by my Australian friends at Kiss Me Cakes and
Lee Bird Photography I couldn't help but be inspired.

Create your own magical tea party by choosing a location that is out of the norm. Just breaking up the routine will get children excited. Make or bake tasty treats and hang custom banners, signs and perhaps a few puff balls or candles in jars.
